Era of BOLLYWOOD MOVIES(1930-2022)

The Era of Bollywood Movies can’t be forgotten so lets again dive in the memory of one of the finest Bollywood films.

Hindi Cinema , known as Bollywood and formely as Bombay cinema  It is the largest Indian cinema in the whole India. As per data Hindi Cinema represent 44% of box office collection followed by Tamil and Telegu film industry representing 13% each. Era of Bollywood movies

The history of Bollywood takes us back in 1930s where the first silent movie was made RAJA HARISHCHANDRA produced and directed by Dadasaheb Phalke. The industry was producing 200 films per year. Dadasaheb Phalke is considered as the father of the Indian Cinema

During 1930s the era of Bollywood movies were all about messages addressing social issues happening during that time. AADMI and PADOSI, Franz Osten’s Achut Kanya, Mehboob’s Watan, Ek HI Raasta and Aurat were some serious films grabbing the issue of social injustice.

Acchut Kanya(1936) was Devika Rani  also known as the “First Lady Of Indian Cinema”

Alam Ara( The Light Of the world ; 1931) directed by the Ardeshir Irani, was the first sound film. Both the movie and its music was widely successful, including this hit song “ De Khuda Ke Naam Per” which was the first song of the Indian cinema

Devika Rani was honoured with the first ever Dada Saheb Phalke Award for her “outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema”.

Devika Rani was also credited for having the longest kissing scene in the movie world with her husband Himanshu Rai in Karma (1933). IT was 4 minutes long and was very controversial in that orthodox India.

BOLLYWOOD AROUND 1970s to 1980s

Around 1980s some believes that it is a low point in the Hindi Cinema and some thought is this the end of the Bollywood ? Did 1980s had nothing to celebrate? The answer is no., instead it’s the time Bollywood shows its versatility, and variety of variety of cinema on display in that decade to know that 1980s was just  important as a any other year for The era of Bollywood.

Gulzar did some of his finest work in the 1980s, ending the decade with Ijaazat and Libaas. There was romance in the year with the star-crossed love stories . Ek Dujje Ke Liye, Kamal Hassan’s Hindi debut, Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla’s breakout Qayamat Tak followed the same path. Umrao jaan mujras (performed with the grace by Rekha).

So now do you really think that 1980s really that bad?It had its misses and misfortunes but overall, that decade was best in its time. Its songs are still recalled today also.

Bollywood around 2000s

The early 2000’s an era of Bollywood movie marked by Y2K, flip phones, and no social media. Hollywood was thriving with  its fully fledged superstar, a concept that has begun to vanish as we 2020.

In Bollywood there was a decade where Shah Rukh Khan known as the KING KHAN, dominating the box office ; Aamir Khan started to transition from being a reliable on- screen star to calling the shots off – started to transition from being a reliable on-screen star to calling the shots off- screen; The films themselves varied from trillers to romance epics, often mixing genres as Bollywood’s  masala mix.

One of my personal favourite from the Era of Bollywood movie and maybe all India’s favourite movies which I recommend to watch and the things which I learned from these movies are-:

By- Shimit Amin

This movie is one of the bollywood’s hit movie and had some amazing reviews.  A perfect film for Education and entertainment.  Some of my favourite lessons from the movie are

  1. Putting your ego aside– Biggest Lesson of life.

Ego is one of the thing which can create problems in one’s life. Everyone should put their ego aside and work as a team

  • Breaking The Stereotype

This movie break the stereotype that women can play hockey too. We should give women equal opportunity in every field, and not treat them as mere objects.

  • Respect your mentor

A player is not willing to accept the orders from her new coach. Later she understands the importance of a mentor and starts accepting the authority. We should always learn and respect our mentor.

3 Idiots

Director: Rajkumar Hirani

further, In the Era Of Bollywood movies Three engineering students—Rancho (Aamir Khan), Farhan (R. Madhavan) and Raju (Sharman Joshi)—are navigating college together, constantly under fire from their tyrant-like headmaster (Boman Irani). Eventually the trio convince him of their abilities and he allows them to graduate. But after graduation, ringleader Rancho disappears from their lives and, years later, the group sets out to find him. 3  Idiots’s charm isn’t just in the story of college friends challenging and supporting one another, or that it does so in comedic moments full of heart.
